Marion sees her “gate-keeping” talents as a midwife naturally extend to the support of those approaching physical death. To that end, she has worked for Hospice of CT as a patient care advocate, spiritual counselor and grief counselor. A graduate of the Institute of Healing Arts and Sciences, Ofelia engages in ongoing studies with the Four Winds Light Body School. She is a Reiki Master and is certified in Jin Shin Jyutsu and neuro-linguistic programming. She is also a certified facilitator in Family Constellations, a modality that works experientially and energetically to help clients restore balance through gaining deeper insights into the hidden, unresolved causes of their life struggles. Ofelia’s ability to go within perceptions and step outside of them helps her clients restore the balance in their lives. with two dance companies. When a deeply painful situation arose in her life, Deb sought out energy medicine work and quickly discovered a new joy and ease in life. With this new outlook, and convinced of the depth and validity of the energy medicine practice, Deb was immediately called to carry this work to others. She obtained her Energy Medicine certification from The Four Winds Society; she also reinstated her massage therapy license, became a Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor, and renewed her love and ability to shine as a mother of five. Deb fosters a sacred space for her clients, pouring her essence, authenticity and intuition into the process. in energy medicine over the past seven years have continually fueled her passion to help individuals open to the guidance Maria began her nursing career 38 years ago, developing a specialty in case management for individuals recovering from orthopedic and neurological injuries. Her subsequent study of energy medicine was inspired by a desire to understand how alternative healing practices facilitate the important techniques of Western medicine. Maria has found energy techniques to be especially useful in helping patients before and after surgery to deal with pain and assist in relaxation. Marion holds a BS in public health nursing and an MS in midwifery and maternal child health. She has worked and consulted within the maternal child health field in the Maternal Infant Care Project in NYC, as well as served on the Board of Directors of Planned Parenthood of CT. She has also studied with several Andean and indigenous shamans, and has lived and worked with the Navajos and Hopis as a midwife.
